Outlawz Member Young Noble Dead at 47.
Tragically, Tupac Shakur’s rap group the Outlawz member Young Noble has passed away. His age was 47.
His death was verified on Instagram by fellow Outlawz member E.D.I. Mean, who revealed he allegedly died by suicide. Some of the most devastating and unanticipated news ever came my me today. His Instagram post from Friday was a heartbreaking reminder that his brother and longtime partner had taken his own life. “May Rufus Young Noble Cooper Rest in Power.”
I am obviously not in a position to discuss this at the moment, so please allow his family and me time to process this,” he continued. Many people are fighting an uphill battle with mental illness. Who are you fooling?
A representative from Shakur’s estate reshared posts from Mean’s official Instagram account.
Rufus Lee Cooper III, better known as Young Noble, was born in Sierra Madre, California, but his family relocated to New Jersey when he was a little boy. Musa Fatal and Yaki Kadafi, who would later become members of the Outlawz, were also there.

After returning to his home state of California, Cooper ran with Shakur in the process of recording All Eyez on Me, a 1996 album by the later rapper. He first appeared on “Bomb First (My Second Reply),” “Hail Mary,” “Life of an Outlaw,” and “Just Like Daddy”—all from Tupac Shakur’s posthumous album, The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory.
Noble Justice, his first solo effort, came out in 2002. Ten years down the road, Son of God was his sophomore album; 2016 saw the release of Powerful, and 2019 brought the release of 3rd Eye View.
