What Happened On Big Brother?
Big Brothers new season kicked off with all sixteen Houseguests moving into the signature set and settling into their rooms. Things then took a wild turn when host Julie Chen Moonves suddenly vanished from the live stage. The remaining players were split into two teams of eight and given a storyline challenge: rescue Julie from a mysterious villain called The Mastermind by winning separate mini-games.
In the first round Zach Cornell cracked the code, found Julie, and pocketed a cool ten-thousand-dollar prize. The second set of contestants was led by Jimmy Heagerty, whose win granted him the rare ability to pick only four players for the head-of-household showdown.
Jimmy selected himself, Adrian Rocha, Ashley Hollis, and Vince Panaro. Panaro, a forty-six-year-old stay-at-home dad from the San Fernando Valley, almost ran out of time yet still snagged the seasons opening HoH crown.
With that early chaos behind them, The Mastermind released Rachel Rielly as the surprise seventeenth guest. Rachel, who originally appeared in season twelve and won season thirteen, has returned after fourteen years off the show. The group also learned that one of the original Houseguests is secretly working with The Mastermind and has its own hidden plan. More details on that twist are promised soon.
