The Sydney Sweeney soap will be available for purchase starting June 6 !
Sydney Sweeney is trying to get her most devoted fans to buy her new soap that has her own bath water in it. The actor from Euphoria is one of the most sexualised stars in Hollywood, and she is frequently subjected to uninvited comments about her body from admirers. Some of these fans have even stated a wish to drink her bath water.
“You can either ignore it or turn it into a bar of Dr Squatch soap,” Sweeney stated in a press release unveiling her new ‘Bathwater Bliss’ soap. “When your fans start asking for your bathwater, you can either ignore it or turn it into a bar of Dr Squatch soap.”
During the previous year, the star of “Anybody but You” collaborated with the men’s personal care company for the first time in an advertisement that went viral and depicted her in a bathtub.
Sand and pine bark extract, both of which are exfoliating, are used in the formulation of her new soap, which also contains some of Sweeney’s own bathwater.
“It’s weird in the best way, and I love that we created something that is not just unforgettable, but it actually smells incredible and delivers like every other Dr. Squatch product I love,” she continued. “It’s a product that I love.” I have high hopes that this will help men become more aware of the realities of traditional personal care products and encourage them to switch to natural alternatives.
In total, there will be only 5,000 bars of the actor’s soap produced.
Between the dates of May 29 and June 5, Dr. Squatch will be running a giveaway because there are only a limited number of items available. To be eligible for the giveaway, individuals must first follow the Dr. Squatch Instagram account, then “like” the post that has been earmarked for Instagram, and last, they must leave a comment. The entries will be analysed, and one hundred winners will each receive a free bar of soap.
As of the sixth of June, the soap will be made available for purchase in an official capacity.
During an interview with GQ, Sweeney provided additional details regarding the manufacturing process of the soap. During the time that we were filming the Dr. Squatch movie, they provided me with a bathtub. As a matter of fact, I went in there and brought some soap with me. After that, we took a wonderful little bath together, and they took the water. Yes, it is the water that I use for my bath,” she replied.
Because I wanted it to have a strong connection to my origins in the house, it has a perfume that is reminiscent of the great outdoors, with notes of pine, earthy moss, and fir. Yes, it has a really masculine aroma. But then there’s some water from the city bath that’s been mixed in.”
In a prior interview with Variety, which took place in March of 2024, Sydney Sweeney shared her thoughts on the over sexualisation of her body.
When asked about it at the time, the actor stated that the persistent comments give her the impression that she has “no control” over the internet discourse that is regarding her beauty.
It is something that I am aware of, but I simply cannot permit myself to react to it. “I don’t know how to explain it – I’m still trying to figure it out myself,” she said in response to the outlet’s inquiry over the reaction that went viral to her first appearance on Saturday Night Live.
“People believe that I have signed away my life, which gives them the feeling of being connected to me and gives them the freedom to speak about me in any way that they are comfortable with. The fact that I am an actress means that I am no longer on a human level for me. “That these characters are for everyone else, but then I am for myself as Sydney is no longer for me,” Sydney Sweeney remarked. People have this strange relationship with me, and I have no control or say over it. I have no option except to accept it.
