Scooter Braun is looking back on Taylor Swifts music-and one song people say hints at him.
In an interview on Danielle Robays podcast QUESTION EVERYTHING released July 17, Braun, 44, shared his thoughts on the 2022 Midnights cut Vigilante S—. When asked if the track points to his divorce from ex-wife Yael Cohen, 38, he laughed it off.
No, because I talk to Yael every day, Braun said, showing he believes their ongoing friendship rules out that connection.
“My ex-wife is one of my good friends, so we laugh about that stuff together,” Braun explained. “We dont even call each other ex anymore. Shes my partner and the mother of my kids.”

He added that Cohen is his family for life. “I even have a little tattoo on my finger that says Same team after the divorce, because she and I will always be on the same team,” he said. ” Theres what we say to each other. So no, I never thought that diss was about us, and she never did either, even while everyone else kept feeding the fire. Its a fun story and a great strategy move, but thats all it is.”
The new track opens with Swift singing, “She needed cold hard proof so I gave her some, she had the envelope, where you think she got it from? Now she gets the house, gets the kids, gets the pride. Picture me thick as thieves with your ex-wife. And she looks so pretty, driving in your Benz, lately shes been dressing for revenge.”
Because the song came out right when Brauns divorce was finalized, fans jumped to the conclusion that Swift was really singing about him and Cohen.
Robay, 34, recently opened up to Braun about how his divorce turned his world upside down. No one in his family had gone through the process, and he realized he had leaned on Scooter because Scott felt shaky to him at the time.
He looked back on the life he and Cohen built, saying, With the great job, the loving wife, the kids, and all the wins, I figured that mix proved I was worthy of love. When the marriage cracked and I couldnt fix it, I suddenly felt like a failure. Without any solid ground beneath me, that sting was brutal.
Yet Braun said that shake-up ended up being a huge blessing. All the highs and lows in an artists life, even the drama with Taylor, barely touched him; losing his marriage, however, hit much deeper.
