Damsel (2024)

After finishing her two Enola Holmes films and starring in Stranger Things, Millie Bobby Brown worked on a Netflix original fantasy film called Damsel. Brown plays Elodie, the daughter of Lord Bayford from an unidentified northern country, who gets a proposal offer from Queen Isabelle of Aurea to wed her son, Prince Henry.

The movie is a dark fantasy. She agrees knowing that marrying the prince would enable a bride price that might benefit her underdeveloped country.

She never expected, though, that it was all a trap; the Queen sacrificed her to a Dragon to guarantee the security and prosperity of her country. Simultaneously, what they never expected was the pure Elodie seeking her own retribution by talking with the Dragon.

At the beginning of 2024, it became the most watched Netflix film; although the critical reaction was hardly above average, reviewers praised Brown’s work as an action hero.

Enola Holmes 2 (2022)

Returning for her second outing in the Enola Holmes series with Enola Holmes 2 was Millie Bobby Brown. Although the film was based on Nancy Springer’s book series, unlike the first one this one is an original tale devoid of following one of Springer’s books.
