For a recent cover story, the Hollywood couple discussed everything from their almost 17-year marriage to parenting their two boys with Variety. The 49-year-old High Potential actress stated she still harbours resentment against the 48-year-old Lost star for one action they promised not to take: a public display of her children’s faces.

“We’d discussed not showing their faces,” Olson informed the source. “I remember going through puberty; no child should appear in public before they’re ready.” Everybody has insecurities; it is not their fault that we selected this road or that we are well known. Rob turned rogue and filmed a documentary featuring them! About that, I’m still not satisfied. McElhenney remarked, “The kids love it,” and went on to offer his opinions on the matter.

“From what I see, different “We love to watch them!” millions of people all around say. Olson responded, “I care about my kids; I have nothing for them! We are still at odds about it. Meeting on the FX show in 2005 and married in 2008, the Philadelphia costars welcomed their first baby, Axel, in 2010. Leo, their second son, became part of the family in 2012.

Kaitlin Olson advised Healthy Mom & Baby right before Axel’s birth, “Our philosophy is to raise our child in safety, confidence and happiness; to teach him that the world is a good place, rather than a scary place.” McElhenney said he and his wife frequently consult their support network, which consists of costars Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman, for direction and parenting tips.

“They raised three children who could not be greater human beings: kind, polite, determined, and courteous. They nurtured their children under extremely unique circumstances. We defer to them; he told Fatherly in 2020. From It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia to The Mick, which Kaitlin Olson starred in and produced, the two lads have spent part of their childhoods seeing their parents on different sets.

Kaitlin Olson Says Her Kids Picked Up Her and Rob McElhenney’s Inappropriate Humor: Not for School!

Two the children of Kaitlin Olson have inherited more than only their parents’ DNA.

During a Wednesday, March 12 episode of Late Night with Seth Meyers, the High Potential star, 49, discussed how her sons Axel Lee, 14, and Leo Grey, 12, whom she shares with husband Rob McElhenney, 47, have started watching their parents’ iconic TV show Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

Olson claims she and McElhenney have tried to keep their kids away from the series but have finally failed, as she notes her sons “love” to yell “Dee’s a bird” to her — a reference to a long-running gag with her character Dee on Sunny. “My boy, fourteen years old, is… She starts, “We’ve tried to keep both of them away from Sunny.” ” We were shooting the show, and I had both of them. It has been this length of time. And we cannot keep it away from him anymore.

When Seth Meyers enquires about if they are young teens, Kaitlin Olson confirms they are 12 and 14. “I would imagine a show like Always Sunny is catnip, even if your parents didn’t star in it,” Meyers notes. “We have tried so hard, but we walked in on him the other day, the 14-year-old, watching the episode where Mac builds the Ass-Pounder 4000, which is an exercise bike with a penis coming out of it to motivate you,” Olson adds. “But it’s a ‘fist’, but it’s not a fist.”

Meyers laughs and comments that it’s difficult to punish their child for viewing the show when Olson and McElhenney are behind it. “Yeah, so I like pause it and go like, ‘Ahhh, like, we have to give this some context,’ Kaitlin Olson adds. “And then I’m not sure what background would fit it.” “My kids are one hundred percent my priority, so I don’t take things that will take me away from them too much,” Olson told reporters during a press junket for Finding Dory in 2016.

“I usually want to be there for bedtime. “Meyers then enquires as to if they ever attempt to get away with stuff like comic parts, considering they are in their adolescent years. “Listen; both of them are really funny. But at this age, the sense of humour they have inherited from us is simply so terribly inappropriate.” jokes Olson. “We’re like, ‘Ooo! You’re rather near. Like, in a few years, you’re going to fine-tune that and be so funny, but you cannot say that in a classroom.” “It is indeed quite a delicate line.

Though it’s a tight line, I mean they make us chuckle”. I discussed it with my therapist; she said, “Okay, you may laugh, but what you need to say is, “Now, I think that’s funny, but let’s imagine you’re out in the real world.” People lack knowledge of your identity. They could believe you are a killer or a rapist. “Oh my god, this parenting thing is a lot harder than I thought it was going to be,” Kaitlin Olson says sarcastically.
