Ginny And Georgia Season 3 will return to Netflix on Thursday, June 5, with a lot at stake. The matriarch of the Miller family, Georgia (Brianne Howey), is behind bars; what will happen in the most “ambitious” and “explosive” season of the hit series yet?
Season 3 starts with Georgia’s murder arrest during her wedding to Paul Randolph. To review: When Tom Fuller, Cynthia’s husband, was on hospice in the downstairs office of the Fuller house, Georgia killed him. Austin, hiding in Tom’s closet and engaged in hide-and-seek, saw his mother stroll in and suffocate Tom with a cushion.
Netflix warned that Georgia’s imprisonment will draw attention to the Millers and strain her relationship with Ginny. “It’s always been Ginny and Georgia against the world, but the world has never come for them quite like this,” the Season 3 summary notes. “Now, Ginny must assess her position in the face of challenges—is uniting with the world something Ginny truly desires?”
Georgia is carried away in a cop car in the sad ending of Season 2 as Austin searches her down, shouting, while everyone at the wedding must watch the scenario play out, setting the foundation for an emotional third season.
“We ended Season 2 with Georgia arrested for murder, ruining her fairy-tale wedding and leaving the fate of the Miller family up in the air,” executive producer and creator Sarah Lampert told Netflix’s Tudum.
The third chapter would portray Ginny and Georgia with “new hurdles, new relationships, and new challenges” never seen on the show before, she added.
