More About European Officials Meet Iran In Geneva:

On Friday, the foreign ministers of the United Kingdom, France, and Germany are due to meet with their Iranian counterparts in Geneva. This meeting will be the most significant diplomatic negotiations between Tehran and Western nations that have been known to take place since Israel started an unexpected onslaught against Iran one week ago.

The talks bring back the European trio known as the “E3,” which led earlier negotiations with Iran in the early 2000s and assisted in the formulation of the nuclear deal in 2015 while former President Barack Obama was in office.

As a result of his discussion with Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Steve Witkoff, President Trump’s special envoy to the Middle East, British Foreign Secretary David Lammy referred to the situation as “perilous” on Thursday.

“A window now exists within the next two weeks to achieve a diplomatic solution,” Lammy added, referring to President Trump’s announcement that he will make a decision on whether or not the United States will strike Iran by the beginning of July.

The statement made by President Trump, which was read aloud by the press secretary of the White House, Karoline Leavitt, on Thursday, put an end to the wild speculation that the United States was getting ready to support Israel in its offensive by attacking an Iranian nuclear facility.

Lammy, along with his counterparts in France and Germany, is encouraging Iran to resume negotiations regarding potential nuclear weapons.  Iran, on the other hand, has demonstrated resilience when it is actively being attacked.

“We do not want to negotiate with anyone while the Zionist regime’s aggression continues,” announced Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on state television on Friday.

“We do not want to negotiate with anyone.”

Citing social media statements made by Trump earlier this week in which he appeared to give the United States partial credit for control over Iran’s airspace, he accused the United States of being complicit in Israeli strikes. He made this accusation about the United States.

According to Araghchi, “the demand for an end to this war has already begun,” he clarified further.  “It shows how effective the resistance of the Iranian people has been and will be.”

In France, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jean-Noël Barrot, maintained the impartial posture of his country by stating on national television on Thursday that “France is always on the side of international law” and that she “has not participated in any preventive war.”  There are still one thousand French nationals living in Iran, he mentioned.

While this was going on, Germany’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Johann Wadephul stated that Berlin was willing to continue conversations with Iran provided Tehran demonstrated a “serious willingness” to provide assurances regarding its nuclear and missile programs.

The reduction of Iran’s missile program would also be included in these assurances, according to Wadephul.

Additionally, Iran would be required to refrain from enriching nuclear material in a manner that would lead to the weaponization of nuclear material.

An Iranian missile impacted a residential building in the city of Beersheba, which is located in the southern region of Israel, causing at least five individuals to sustain injuries.  The attack comes just one day after an Iranian missile struck the Soroka Medical Centre, which is the largest hospital in the southern region of Israel.

In the time since the beginning of the conflict, the office of the Israeli prime minister has said that Iranian missile and drone strikes have resulted in the deaths of at least 24 individuals and the injuries of hundreds more.

More than two hundred individuals have been murdered as a result of Israel’s attacks on Iran, as reported by the Iranian Ministry of Health.

However, according to the Human Rights Activists News Agency, an independent organisation, it has reported 657 deaths and more than 2,000 injuries throughout Iran. This information is based on sources that are not affiliated with the Iranian government.
