Since January 2024, when they were seen at an after-party after the London premiere of the Apple TV+ series Masters of the Air, the British actor and the “Levitating” singer have been romantically associated.
In a June 12 interview with British Vogue, Lipa revealed the news after months of stoking engagement rumors on social media with peeks of a diamond ring.
She said, “Yes, we are engaged.”
“It’s really thrilling.” More details about their early romance were also revealed by Lipa, who revealed that they met through the cofounder of The River Cafe, a London restaurant where they happened to be dining one day.
When Turner entered a restaurant in Los Angeles where Lipa was one year after their brief encounter, she remembered thinking, “Oh, it’s that really hot guy from The River Cafe.”
Their random meetings and the realization that they were “reading the same book” led Lipa to believe that they were destined to be together.
As Lipa began to consider this new phase of their relationship, she said, “This decision to grow old together, to see a life and just, I don’t know, be best friends forever—it’s an exceptional feeling.”

Lipa’s diamond engagement ring features a wide cigar band.
A broad cigar band holds Lipa’s diamond ring. In an interview with BRIDES in January 2025, Susie Saltzman, a designer of engagement rings based in New York, said the ring was “probably a round brilliant or old European cut that is set into the band.”
She went on, “The diamond appears to be semi-bezel set or tension set—possibly even fully bezel set.”
“Set low, nearly flush with the wide gold band,” Saltzman continued, adding that the diamond is “a departure from the statement, fancy-shaped solitaire diamonds on super delicate bands that we have been seeing on celebrities for the past five-plus years.”
The ring is estimated to cost between $65,000 and $270,000.
The cost of Lipa’s engagement ring is enormous. Based on the diamond’s shape, carat weight, and quality, Saltzman told BRIDES that the ring might cost anywhere from $65,000 to $125,000.
According to her estimation, it is a “high-quality natural diamond” that is probably “over two and a half or three carats.”
But according to Laura Taylor, an engagement ring expert at Lorel Diamonds, the ring looks to be closer to three or four carats, and it costs much more than Saltzman had anticipated.
Depending once more on whether the diamond is natural, Taylor calculates the ring’s value to be between $200,000 and $270,000.
Lipa shared glimpses of the ring online for months before confirming her engagement.

I’ve never been someone who’s really thought about a wedding or dreamt about what kind of bride I would be,” Lipa stated. “Suddenly, I think, ‘Oh, what would I wear?'”
