MORE ABOUT DIDDY NEWS:
Ye, the rapper formerly known as Kanye West, visited the New York sex trafficking trial of Sean “Diddy” Combs on Friday to assist the hip-hop mogul, a long-time friend. He exited after briefly viewing the trial on a video monitor in another room, though, and was not let into the courtroom.
Ye, white-dressed, appeared in Manhattan federal court before noon while the trial was on a break and stayed roughly forty minutes in the building.
Ye was asked whether he was at the courthouse supporting Combs after leaving an airport-style security screening.
He nodded in response, “Yes.” When the defence starts its presentation as early as next week, he hurried to a lift and did not answer when asked whether he may testify on Combs’ side.
He was not taken by courthouse security to the 26th level, where the trial takes place in one of the biggest courtrooms in the structure.
Admittance is highly regulated; seats are set aside for Combs’ family and legal team; the media and fans who line-up for hours to grab a desired spot.
The rapper was escorted instead three levels below the trial floor to a courtroom. There, he briefly watched evidence on a big closed-circuit monitor in an overflow room one story below the regular overflow room, crowded with media representatives and court staff members mistakenly believing he could be there.
Ye looked around the room before abruptly getting up and leaving, along with the others with him as word of his actual location spread and spectators trickled into the room where Ye sat in the front row with Combs’ son, Christian, a bodyguard and another supporter on a side of the room otherwise kept vacant by a court officer.
As he left the courthouse, dodging into a waiting black Mercedes vehicle and passing reporters and TV cameras, Ye did not respond to more questions.
Combs, 55, seemed happy and conscious his friend had visited as family members including his mother watched the courtroom where the trial took place.
He has entered not guilty pleas to sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy charges claiming that over a 20-year period he committed crimes using his reputation, wealth, and brutality.
Ye’s presentation in the courtroom followed the six days of testimony completed by a lady named only by the alias “Jane.”

She claimed that she felt pressured into regular dayslong sexual marathons with male sex workers while Combs watched and occasionally recorded the drug-fueled events over a relationship spanning 2021 until his arrest last September at a Manhattan hotel.
Defence lawyers have claimed that Combs did not commit any crimes and that federal prosecutors were policing consensual sex between adults.
Thursday Jane testified that she flew to Las Vegas in January 2023 with a well-known rapper close friend of Combs during a three-month gap from their relationship.
Lawyers and the court held a long public session before Jane’s testimony on the matter to go over what might be revealed regarding the January trip.
Jane was questioned if the rapper she travelled with together with his girlfriend was “an individual at the top of the music industry as well… an icon in the music industry.”
Jane nodded in agreement.
Once in Las Vegas, Jane testified; she accompanied a group including the rapper to dinner, a strip club and a hotel room party, where a sex worker had sex with a woman while half-dozen others observed.
She said there was dancing, and the rapper remarked, “Hey beautiful,” then informed her, in obscene terms, that he had always wanted sex with her. Jane claimed she cannot exactly remember when, but she danced flashing her breasts.

Friday also, the judge declared he was leaning towards eliminating a juror and substituting an alternate following revelations of irregularities in his residence address.
One of the jurors claimed to have lived in the Bronx during jury choosing. However, prosecutors claimed, he informed a court staff member he recently relocated to New Jersey.
The juror admitted moving under interrogation by Judge Arun Subramanian, but claimed to keep a New York driver’s license and visit there during the week.
Manhattan federal court jurors are only New Yorkers.
Lawyers for Combs said it was a “thinly veiled effort to dismiss a Black juror” and advised Subramanian was “conflating inconsistencies with lying.”
The judge observed that the jury would be diverse even if the juror is removed.
