Following a six-year marriage, Phypers, 52, filed for divorce on Monday, July 7, according to court documents. He specified July 4 as the date of their separation and attributed the reason for their separation to “irreconcilable differences.”
According to the documents, Phypers requested spousal support from Richards, 54, and also requested that their assets and debts be maintained as separate property, which included his power tools, motorcycle, and sports car.
Although Richards previously disclosed that Phypers was in the process of adopting her daughter Eloise, 14, the couple does not have any minor children. It is uncertain whether it was ever officially sanctioned.
The former couple had been in a relationship since June 2017.
The actress, who was undergoing “preventative DNA repair” at a Malibu healing centre, initially encountered her soon-to-be ex at his work practice. They began dating in June 2017.
They maintained the confidentiality of their engagement and exchanged vows in a hurried ceremony in Malibu on September 8, 2018.
Phypers was briefly married to Nicollette Sheridan, the star of Desperate Housewives, before they began dating. In August 2018, they concluded their divorce.
